This song is a reflection to Julian (lead singers) earlier life, he narrates the story of him breaking up with someone, documenting how she argued back, ‘Give me some time, I just need a little time’. He reminds her that its only the end and that the relationship is over even though she is pleading with him. A post thought from me is maybe he regrets the situation as the pre-chorus turns into a first person reflection, ‘give me’, maybe he realised what he had too late or he’s talking about an alternate situation in which he was in the other persons shoes.
