Explorer

Track 9 off of Justice’s fourth studio album, Hyperdrama, “Explorer” navigates and establishes itself as a collaborative effort between the Justice, and New Zealand psychedelic funk musician Connan ‘Mockasin’ Hosford of Soft Hair fame. A celestial track, it begins as a metaphorical journey to the stars before unravelling into a sweaty disco-filled funk groove, accompanied by Mockasin’s rather apocalyptic tone during the symphonic ballad; it is familiar in nature to Vincent Price’s voiceover of Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
